My name is  Poonam Sharma and along with my two sisters, we run a small shelter called  Gitshan Animal Care Centre  in  Kurukshetra, Haryana.

For the past 4 years, we have been rescuing
Injured dogs after road accidents
Pregnant and abandoned female dogs
Dogs suffering from tumors & critical illnesses
Stray dogs in need of sterilization and medical care

We started with just compassion in our hearts and a small space, and today, more than 200 dogs have found care and treatment through our shelter. But with increasing cases every month, it’s getting harder to keep up without financial support.
